Yeah, we got another banger.  Gashoho Bavyeyi hails from the Muyinga Province, located in the north-eastern corner of Burundi.  The Bavyeyi station is one of the newer stations that fall under the JNP Coffee family which perennially turn out absolutely stunning coffees from the region. Muyinga province is a bit of a newcomer to the specialty production scene when compared to Kayanza and Ngozi provinces to the west, but Muyinga has all the attributes of an ideal coffee growing microclimate.

Gashoho farmers deliver their Bourbon cherry to the Bavyeyi washing station which processes coffee from over 2,000 small holder farmers. This station being under the JNP umbrella also participates in the Dusime program, which promotes a second payment incentive of 20-40 cents/lb. for delivering the highest quality cherries. This coffee was naturally processed with one of the longest drying times I’ve seen (20-30 days) but is incredibly complex and clean.

As you may know, I'm really really selective when it comes to naturals, and Gashoho checks every box with flying colors.  Clean? Yep.  Complex? Yeah. Vibrant acidity? Uh, huh. Juice? Most definitely.  Dig into this jammy sweet cup with an overt strawberry sweetness, a bangin' hibiscus-like acidity (that only continues to impress as the cup cools), and a lasting caramel finish.
